Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Pharming Factions is committed to making this platform usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology like screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix — this page describes what's actually in place today, and how to tell us when something isn't working for you.
Measuring our progress
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our measuring stick. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, and neurological disabilities.
Pharming Factions is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. We're an actively developing platform, and we treat accessibility defects as bugs to fix rather than acceptable tradeoffs.
Accessibility features
- A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page, so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation and jump straight to the page content.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive controls, so keyboard users can always tell where they are on the page.
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons (cart, menu, back, delete, etc.) so screen readers announce what a control does, not just "button."
- Semantic landmark structure (a single main content region per page) so assistive technology can navigate the page by section.
- Pinch-to-zoom and browser text resizing are never disabled — some sites block this by accident through their viewport settings; we deliberately don't.
- The site respects your device's light or dark color-scheme preference rather than forcing one on you.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are actively working on the following, and we describe them here so you know what to expect:
- Color contrast. Some text and interface elements do not yet meet the minimum contrast ratio. We are working through these systematically.
- Interactive map. The community map is a visual tool that is not fully usable by keyboard or screen reader. The same members and listings shown on the map are also reachable through the Marketplace and Community Directory pages, which are standard, navigable pages.
- Assistive technology testing. We have not yet completed a full independent audit or manual screen-reader review of every page.
Feedback — and how to get help completing a task
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Pharming Factions. If you encounter a barrier, or if there is something you need to do on this site that you cannot complete, please contact us:
Email: masalla.pharmingfactions@gmail.com
Please include the page address and a description of what happened. If you're using assistive technology (screen reader, switch device, voice control), telling us which one helps us reproduce the issue faster.
We aim to respond within 5 business days. If something on this site is blocking you from completing a purchase, signing up, or reaching a member, tell us and we will help you complete it directly while we work on the underlying fix.
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on August 5, 2026 based on a self-evaluation of the platform, combining automated contrast and markup checks with manual keyboard testing. It is reviewed as the platform changes.
